- Former Aleut village reported by Father Vemiaminov (1840, v. 1, p. 184) as "Imagninskoe" with a population of 32 in 1830. The 1880 Census listed it as "Imagnak" with 34 people. Lieutenant Sarichev (1826, map 14), on Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), a 1790 map, gives the village name as "Sinagyna."
