- on right bank of Kugruk River, 29 mi. NE of Imuruk Lake, Seward Peninsula High.
- Site of a mining camp; named on a 1951 U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) map. A coal mine was opened here in 1903 (Moffit, 1905, p. 67) and for many years supplied coal to the Candle Creek and Fairhaven gold mining districts.
