- Casa Blanca or Whites Mill, owned by Aami White in 1858, was at the western end of the Pima Villages. The Maricipa Indians called the place 'A-vuc-hoo-mar-lish', in 1856, while the Pima native village was called Baaki (meaning 'ancient house'). A post office existed here in 1916-1926 called Bah Ki. This was the locale of the transient Fort Barrett erected by Union troops from California in 1862 and named for Lieutenant James Barrett who had been killed by confederates in Picacho (AZ-T101).
