- Located on the W shore of Broad Sound just N of Boston (US-T121).
- Settled about 1630, incorporated as the town of North Chelsea in 1846, and as a city in 1914. So named because it was originally the northern part of Chelsea. Renamed Revere, in 1871, for Paul Revere (1735-1818), noted Revolutionary patriot and silversmith (MA-T1/p39).
