- Located in the southwest corner of Kentucky along the Mississippi River, and a small portion of the boundary with Tennessee, 48 km (30 mi) southwest of Paducah; County Seat: Clinton.
- Established in 1821, named for Paschal Hickman, who was killed in the Battle of River Basin on 22 January 1813. (KY-T1/p139)
