Tulip General Store and Post Office My great grandmother and grandfather Loah Belle (Fenton) and Homer Scott Grooms Owned a general store and ran the local Post office located next door to their home in Adams County, Ohio. When the Post office originally opened it made their location a "town". Homer told Loah she would have to give the town a name. It was in the spring and the Tulips were in bloom so she wanted to name it Tulip. Homer thought that was very fitting so that's how Tulip got its name.
