- This cemetery was once called Gerlt Cemetery. The cemetery is now owned by Christ Lutheran Church. The church, which was established in 1870, purchased several acres of land from Diedrich and Margaret Holsten in November 1871. In 1903, the Rock Island Railroad track was laid less than 2 miles north of the original church property. The town relocated along the railroad as did Christ Lutheran Church. The original church property was sold in 1907 but the cemetery has remained under their ownership.
