  • The street names have changed, but these coordinats seem to fit the north-south boundaries as supplied in the following document. From a Dec. 1937 document - "Abandoned cemetery is located in the northeast quarter of section 13 in Hallock township and is also located in the east part of the village of hallock in blocks 3-6 in Ecklunds second addition between Washington and Dakota avenues about one block east of the courthouse and is bordered on the north by a coulee which runs through this part of town and on the south by the south branch of the Two Rivers. In 1884 this tract of land was purchased from the original owner by Ecklund Bros who had it platted into city lots and blocks. Although it had never been put on record as a cemetery the first owner a Mr. Swanson had designated it for that purpose, Ecklund Bros,are supposed to have donated the land for the present cemetery, after this transaction a number of people burried here were removed to the cemetery. The exact number of people buried here is not known, different references called on give the number anywhere from ten to twenty-five. This cemetery is now located in the residential part of Hallock and several homes have been built on this ground. There was 10 acres in the original plat and it is very near impossible to find any distinct marks as this plat has been used by home owners for the past fifty years."
