- Unincorporated Populated Place
- Concord was founded largely by brothers-in-law Hugh Linn and James Widney. James came from Killymurry, County Monaghan, Ulster, Ireland in 1784. Hugh and Sarah (Widney) Linn came in 1788, having first made their home somewhere near Newry, Ireland, which lies partly in County Armagh and partly in County Down. Hugh was a farmer and a devout Christian who, during a time when there were yet no established churches in the area, opened his home for Bible reading and prayer. Sources: "A History of a Fragment of the Clan Linn", George Wilds Linn (1905); various Irish records. [Notes: (1) After uploading the image of the graves of Hugh and Sarah (Widney) Linn, it was noticed that the accompanying text contains a typo. Hugh Linn died in 1815, not 1814.
